KeckWatch is provided by the W. M. Keck Observatory, home to the two largest optical/infrared telescopes on Earth, situated at an elevation of almost 14,000 feet on Maunakea in Hawaii. Since conducting its first scientific research in 1993, these telescopes have established themselves as the most prolific astronomical instruments globally.

KeckWatch allows users to partake in the observatory's explorations. The application offers a comprehensive view of thousands of stars, all eight planets (excluding Pluto), galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters. Additionally, it delivers updates and news from the Keck Observatory, providing insights into the whereabouts of celestial bodies such as Orion or identifying the planets visible in the night sky.
